I've been slowly getting my old Xterra ready for the dune season and the one thing I keep putting off is the battery because it still starts okay in the parking garage, but I remember last February near Qudra it hesitated once and that was enough to make me nervous. A guy in our offroad group mentioned he picked up an Amaron Car Battery after his AC Delco gave up mid drive and he hasn't had issues since, and I did browse amaroncarbattery just to check what sizes they have for my model, the pricing seemed reasonable compared to what some shops in Ras Al Khor quoted me for similar specs. What I actually want to know is whether anyone here has really punished one with constant bumps and heat soak, because the side tray in the X has zero shielding and I don't want to drop cash on something that still swells after a few trips when I could just keep a jump pack handy.
