I’m considering upgrading my home’s roof drainage system and came across the concept of a gutterless gutter. From what I understand, it is designed to manage rainwater without the bulk of traditional gutters, often using edge designs or hidden channels to direct water flow. 

I’m curious about real-world performance. Does it prevent water damage effectively, especially in heavy rain? Also, are there specific roofing materials or designs that work best with a gutterless gutter? 

Any advice, experiences, or pitfalls to watch out for would be greatly appreciated.
